Papervision - Augmented Reality (extended) from dpinteractive
HOT HOT HOT. I can see the kids taking pictures with their favorite characters live from their living room right now! Or using controllable characters in web cam feeds for god knows what.

Banky’s new installation is something you have to see. Sausages in reptile tanks, Chicken McNuggets drinking BBQ sauce… Its great. You can read more about it on Wooster Collective
Simple Housing

I love the idea of using only what you need. And re-thinking what it is that you need. These small dwellings make great use of shipping containers and at $8,000 they seem to be all around efficient. The 320 square feet would be kinda tight but maybe we shouldn’t be indoors so much?

I can’t help but think about Super Mario Brothers when I see this installation of Stefan Sagmeiter’s. The work was removed by Amsterdam Police 24 hours later.

Morisawa Fontpark is a really cool site that not only lets you make illustrations out of letter forms but its a simple idea that forces you to make something and make it quick and it ends up looking pretty good.
Natural Swimming Pools

I’ve been getting into the whole water garden thing lately since my new pond is teaming with algae. Since reading about how to balance the tiny ecosystem in our back yards I thought it was interesting that the same idea has been applied to swimming pools - which are just big ponds anyways - safe if not safer for recreational use.

From the Joined Bowl to the Covered Object Frame I cant get over how simple these designs are. Come on! Making table tops out of books and lets not talk about the Bendino Lamp! Sick. Check out his collection at Martin Konrad .com
Boring Books

This one definitely lives up to its name. A haunting reading of some very boring book titles. This would be great to go to sleep to.
Copenhagen Cycle Chic

Copenhagen Cycle Chic is a great look into the Copenhagen cycling culture. Highlighting everyday citizens doing everything on their bikes. Its bike advocacy in high heels with a street style twist.
For me in Atlanta its not so much about biking as it is about NOT driving. By any means necessary!
Red Issue Site Launch
Posted on | August 21, 2008 | No Comments
Red Issue has a nice use of gestural navigation. Draw arrows to navigate from page to page and draw circles to zoom in and out.
From TheFWA “Question: Is drawing more fun than clicking? Answer: Indeed. Whether you are wearing disigns from Red Issue or navigating the website, creative freedom is yours…”
